Let's protect our environment

Our surrounding can be called as our environment. There are trees, animals, rivers, buildings, furniture, etc. Basically, our environment is divided into two main parts as natural environment and man-made environment.

We are provided with numerous benefits from the environment. Trees purify the environment while giving us oxygen to survive. Further they provide medicines, food, furniture, shade and many things. Environment provides us a place to survive. Both trees and animals make the environment a beautiful place.

Even though we are well benefitted by the environment, the environment is polluted by the human in various ways. People dump the garbage on roads and water ways. Since they don't have a proper waste management, the environment gets polluted. The liquid waste has been directed to the ocean while making the biggest threat on the survival of marine animals and plants. Currently most of marine animals have become vulnerable to extinction due to the environmental pollution by human.

Harmful agricultural fertilizers are being used in the field of agriculture in order to obtain a higher yield, to satisfy the needs of the growing population. In the long run, these chemicals will be buried in soil or directed towards water flows such as streams and rivers. Further people cut many trees. Deforestation is a significant issue in the current world. This can cause for greenhouses gas effect since there are no trees to absorb harmful gases. With the deformation most of the areas of the world is becoming desserts. This has directly caused to the climate change.

As mentioned above, we pollute the land, water and air that were gifted by mother nature. Even now the ozone layer covering the earth has begun depleting, resulting in the entry of harmful ultra violet rays to the earth. Many floods occur in rainy seasons due to unavailability of marshy lands to absorb excess water. So those inundate many lands, houses and make many damages including deaths of people. Due to deforestation, soil erosion has occurred. These adversities eventually affect people.

We are still not too late to change the future. We are with the potential to do many things in order to protect our environment. We have to dispose garbage in a proper manner following the appropriate waste management techniques. We can reuse and recycle the no biodegradable waste like plastic. We need to make the people aware of these circumstances of garbage and how to dispose them properly. The government need to implement new rules and regulations to stop constructing building in marshy lands, deforestation and illegal waste dumping etc. We have to make people protect and love the environment.
